Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Alan Dick Says Women Need Permission for Abortion

Alaskan Representative Alan Dick (what a coincidence!) thinks women need to have legal documentation of consent from the men who got them pregnant in order to get an abortion.

I don't think I need to tell you how enormously stupid that is, but Mouthrot does a good job of it.

But if you can't read all of that, here's a quick lowdown of why:
-- Rapists.
-- Spiteful or abusive or unfaithful partners. In fact, asking from these sorts of partners could invite further abuse.
-- Absent partners or not knowing who is the father.
-- Forced servitude; "You don't want her to leave? Get her pregnant and deny her an abortion."
-- "It's not her pregnancy."
-- What if she wants to keep it, but he doesn't? His desires trump hers, after all.
-- What if she'll die, or another health condition comes up? Does she need permission to live, now?
-- A woman needing permission from a man about her body. "What's next? His permission to spit or swallow? His permission to use contraception? His permission to get myself sterilized?"
-- Men making decisions for what they think is best for women; Women are not capable of making mature decisions.
-- Women aren't allowed to have sex unless they want to have children.

Here's a petition to make him shut up. You should include a personalized message mentioning the above, or more, so he gets the point of just how phenomenally horrible he is.
